NEW CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER APPOINTED

NEW JERSEY—NemEx, Inc., a recognized leader in developing customized, web-based communications and management solutions for member-based organizations nationwide, has announced the appointment of William Ford as the new Chief Technology Officer for the parent company. Mr. Ford will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of next generation web-based products, services and management tools for NemEx’s client base.

Mr. Ford will add tremendous value, bringing over 25 years of experience in the design and deployment of electronic information products and services across a range of businesses. Prior to joining NemEx, Mr. Ford was the founder and CEO of Cyber Island Systems, Inc., a solutions provider to affinity-based organizations that was acquired by NemEx in December 2000.

In the late 1990’s, Mr. Ford consulted with top companies and was asked by Cahners Travel Group (a Reed Elsevier company) to redesign their Internet Travel Product. Prior to that, Mr. Ford was the founder and principal owner of Online Computer Systems, Inc., growing this to a $26 million annual technology business between 1979 and 1992. While leading this company, there were many innovations that were the firsts in their field, including the first to deploy a 80186 microprocessor in a voice system in the United States (D&B Credit Check by Touch Tone Phone); first networking solution for CD-ROM (OPTINET), jointly marketed with Microsoft; first career guidance system for high schools on CD-ROM (American College Testing), first successful electronic encyclopedia on CD-ROM, 60 million sold 1984-1992 (Grolier); developed and deployed the CD-ROM networking and search system for American Airlines Saber Vision System worldwide—just to name a few. Mr. Ford also participated in the concept formalization, system design and implementation of major systems for customers like Boeing, Ford, GE, U.S. Army and Lockheed.
